Ingredients

12 oz flank steak, sliced thin
1 large head broccoli, cut into small florets
8 oz udon noodles
1 orange
2 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp grated ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 scallions, sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp neutral oil
Kosher salt

Instructions

Step 1

Cook the udon noodles according to package directions, then drain and rinse briefly so they do not clump.

Step 2

Stir together the zest and juice of the orange, tamari, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

Step 3

Sear the steak quickly in the neutral oil with a pinch of salt, then transfer it to a plate.

Step 4

Add the broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry until bright and crisp-tender with charred edges.

Step 5

Return the steak with the noodles and orange sauce, toss until glossy, and finish with the scallions and sesame seeds.
